Move Over Mario
If you want to have some fun, take whatever you're driving and go autocrossing. Find an event near you and put the petal to the metal. It really is fun, even in a "family car" like my CTS. So go smoke the tires, make them scream, and you'll find you'll have a big ole smile on your face, just like I did.

Actually the cones are laid pointing in the direction of the corner, point right, turn right. I made it through 10 passes without knocking one over. Beginner's luck.
Looks like my duaghers learning to drive! Just stand back and hope the insurance guy works on Saturday! LOL Looks like fun!
My husband partcipated in our local autocross for 10 years and I tried it one weekend after taking a beginner class. He really enjoyed it. (Me too, but I found myself more useful doing registration). It is fun to challenge yourself to get around the course faster each time (damn those cones). There is usually a core group that is varied in personality and skill. Glad you enjoyed it! Bet there is a writing opportunity there for you!
Heh. . . I can just see the look of pain on Buck's face if I "smoked the tires" and "made them scream" on our family car. . . but it DOES sound like fun.
